In 1935 the company built the factory in the Tanashi area of Tokyo that remains its main production facility.
In 1936, Citizen began selling watches in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific China also became a destination for exports. The company ’s international horizons remained limited to other Asian countries until well after World War II.
